Feeding the Dog by Susan Price

This story is about a witch and his children. The witch Downing couldn't stand when humans be bad to his children so he curse them. One day, a farmer Hollis hit 3 of Downing's children and 2 of them ran home told Downing that Hollis did this. But this time, Downing didn't curse Hollis and made a creature using 2 cats, 1 dog and his worst magic. The creature looks like a dog but has 2 eyes that the color change. The colors are green, blue and red...... Downing said 'Hollis' to the creature and the creature went out.
I didn't like the plot of the story because it isn't well ordered and the story continues hardly smoothly and a n exaple is Downing killed his family before himself. It wasn't hard to predict the next happening. I liked the characters because they made a good story with funny names.
I would recommend this book to age 7+ because it is a great story to tell the message 'If you do something bad to a person, you will get payback'.

The Maze of Bones-The 39 Clues By Rick Riordan

There is a girl named Amy and the story starts like 5 minutes before Amy's grandmother Grace Cahill died. Before she died, she told Amy about the clues she was finding and Amy tries to find the clues and start finding the clues with her cousin Dan Cahill. One day, they went to the library of Grace and Dan find out the secret stairway to go to Grace's secret labratory and they find their first answer with a book which was in the Grace's secret labratory. The clue was RESOLUTION: The fine print to guess, seek out Richard S______. The answer to that is Richard Saunders. I think I am gonna read the whole series except 7 because I don't have that book and I like that the book is about the secret stuffs.  There is nothing I hate about the book.
